Estimated Hours Taken:40
Ground Preparation:None if it is accepted that grass will wear around the benches. Alternatively an area of compacted gravel can be installed prior to the instalation of the benches. Also excavations for foundations required.
Fixings / installation:Benches to be root fixed into concrete pad foundation, exact fixing to foundation varies between benches.
Maintenance:Charred oak is fixed with a cleat matt sealant to prevent charcoal rubbing off on clothes. This sealant should be reappplied annually.
No treatment is necessary to the uncharred oak.
Cost:Approx £2,000 per bench but this could be reduced if the tree was sourced at cost from a local tree surgeon.
Other Considerations:Please also consider each bench as a individual entry as well as a composite entry.
Note dimensions goven vary between each bench shown.
Oak is a naturally durable timber which should last 30 years.
