Estimated Hours Taken:9
Materials:Wood and Metal
Ground Preparation:Concrete foundation, then turfed over so as not to spoil the natural feel of the space .
Fixings / installation:Bolted or set into the concrete foundation.
Maintenance:Potentially re sealing of the wood or re treating of the metal but after being installed would be a few years before this would be necessary
Other Considerations:In terms or cost:
Approximately £100 on timber, planks to build slats for the bench seat. (figure obtained through research into consumer timber prices)
Then for the frame, £300 perhaps rolled steel tubes, professionally produced, this would need to be quoted to obtain more accurate figure, (this figure is an estimate)
The bench position allows for two to be positioned in the bulb of the axial path allowing for almost reflective of each other, the unsymmetrical arrangement creates direction and almost directs people to walk down the path.
